Presents:Chairman’s Club
Assistant Delray Beach Police Chief Javaro Sims & Ariana Ciancio, Service Population Advocate, will speak on behalf of the Delray Beach Police Department, City of Delray Beach & Florida Government to share their successes as it relates to the opioid crisis we are facing. The police department, city officials, and community chose to take a proactive approach to make Delray safer as it relates to the overdose epidemic. They will share their strategy & update on the results. Come join us on March 14th to learn about how they continue to #LeadtheWay in Delray.
Ariana Ciancio is the Service Population Advocate for the Delray Beach Police department. Ariana is a licensed mental health counselor and a master level Certified addiction professional. Ariana graduated from FAU with a psychology degree and obtained a Master’s degree in mental Health counselling from Nova Southeastern University. Ariana has been working with the indigent, recovery and mental health populations over 20 years, she has worked in both the private and public sector in every level of care both here and Florida and in NJ. Ariana worked for the National Council of Drug Dependence of New Jersey with their substance abuse and Mental Health initiative for 17 years. Ariana has been with the Delray Beach police department for over 8 months, since her time in the city she has created a program within the Police Department called the CARES program, she has interacted with over 200 individuals and has successfully placed approximately 40 individuals into treatment or housing.
