Welcome to the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Council. Each month our nonprofit leaders from both large and small organizations gather, fulfilling our mission “To Network, Educate and Collaborate". Over lunch we renew our minds, feed our bodies, and remind our hearts why we do what we do.
This year join us as we go back to the basics of development. Back to the most necessary foundational topics needed to keep your nonprofit’s mission & vision strong and sharp. Join us each month for NEW, exceptional speakers who will challenge you to recheck your fundamentals for the greatest success in 2024.
Other NEW things this year?
We will be adding a Mentoring Program. Are you new to this nonprofit world? Then sign up for a mentor to walk with you, coach and encourage you! Or are you a part of a more established nonprofit? Then sign up to be that mentor and walk with your fellow NPC members. We are very excited about this program, and we can’t wait to see and hear what will happen! (This will be facilitated by Kerry Filippone & Shona Castillo).
June 14th Daylong Seminar – we are putting together a full day of learning in June for our nonprofit members. We will roll out this NEW opportunity in the coming months, and we promise it will be well worth your time. (A special task force is working on this "Do Not Miss" experience!!) Mark your calendars for June 14th.
May 7th Agenda: This month we will be talking about community outreach and building your relationships. Suzy Broad, founder and CEO of Sweet Dream Makers will be our presenter. Founded in 2012 in response to an overwhelming community need to get children into a bed of their own, Sweet Dream Makers delivers new beds, at no cost, to children and families sleeping on the floor, sharing beds, or sleeping in unsafe, unsanitary conditions.
From humble beginnings as grassroots, social action program at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton, Sweet Dream Makers has expanded to become a highly sought-after and trusted organization serving families in Palm Beach County. Founder Suzanne Broad has built an innovative and efficient program, working alongside 100+ local social service agencies, and has proudly provided thousands of beds to hundreds of families.
