SUMMARY:Nonprofit Council Presents "The Deep Dive" Speaker's Dinner & Daylong Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Join us our 3rd Nonprofit Council Dinner & Day Seminar titled: \n\n"The Deep Dive into Board Development: Strengthening the Leaders Who Strengthen Our Community"\n\n\n\nA Two-Day Leadership Experience for Nonprofit Organizations & Their Board\n\nHosted by the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce\n\n\n\nJoin us for our 3rd Annual Nonprofit Leadership Seminar\, thoughtfully designed for nonprofit leaders and/or the board members who serve alongside them. This immersive experience will equip your board with clarity\, confidence\, and practical tools to lead with purpose and impact. And once again we will continue our powerful evening of connection before the full-day seminar begins with our Speaker's Dinner.\n \n3rd Annual Speaker's Dinner & Jeffersonian Conversation - The Evening Before the Seminar: Before we dive into board development\, we gather around the table. Attendees and presenters are invited to an intimate Jeffersonian Dinner\, where each table will engage in guided conversation around a meaningful leadership question. After dinner\, the room comes together for a collective discussion sharing insights\, perspectives\, and real-world experiences.\n\nThis intentional format allows:\n\n\n	Attendees to connect personally with our presenters\n	Board members and nonprofit leaders to learn from one another\n	Honest\, open dialogue in a collaborative setting\n	Relationships to form before all the learning begins\n\nThis is not your typical networking dinner. It is a curated leadership conversation designed to deepen understanding and strengthen community among those who serve.\n\n \nNonprofit Council Daylong Seminar - 8:45am-4:00pm\n\nWhether you are a seasoned board member or newly elected\, this seminar will strengthen your understanding of what it truly means to serve and to serve well.\n\n\n\nSession I: Expectations of Being a Board Member presented by Vicki Pugh/CEO Advancements Experts and Kirsten Stevens/CEO Kannico Agency: What does governance really require? We'll clarify roles\, legal responsibilities\, time commitments\, fiduciary duties\, and how to avoid common pitfalls that weaken boards.\n\n\n\nSession II: Financial Responsibilities of Being a Board Member presented by Jackie McLaughlin/CPA Chazin Company: From understanding financial statements to fundraising expectations and fiduciary oversight\, this session breaks down the financial stewardship every board member must embrace\n\n.\n\nSession III: Active Engagement for Success as a Board Member presented by Vicki Pugh/CEO Advancements experts and Kirsten Stevens/CEO Kannico Agency: Great boards don't just attend meetings\, they drive mission. Learn how to move from passive participation to meaningful engagement that advances your organization's vision and impact.\n\n \n\n"Real Talk: The Good\, The Bad\, The Ugly and The Best"\n\nBetween each session\, hear candid testimony from experienced board members who will share the realities of board service\; the challenges\, the lessons learned\, and the moments that make it all worthwhile. These authentic stories will inspire both new and veteran board members alike.\n\n \nWhy Attend?\n\n\n	Empower your board's effectiveness\n	Align expectations between staff and board\n	Increase financial literacy and accountability\n	Energize board engagement\n	Build stronger nonprofit leadership across our community\n	Create meaningful relationships with fellow nonprofit leaders
